And, of course, my first thought was “I could totally do that myself. All I need is a Sharpie!” That’s when I started noticing … Continue reading →

This post brought to you by CB2. All opinions are 100% mine. I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of the Novogratz family. I first heard about them on Design*Sponge, then realized that they are basically an empire of design. They have an HGTV program, a book and now they have a collection at CB2. Since I’ve been talking this week about design and home decor that I love, I thought I’d introduct you to CB2 and Novogratz Collection. It is full of “vintage modern” pieces in bright modern colors and crisp whites. If you’ve ever seen their show or … Continue reading →

Today I woke up so very thankful for this road we are on…knowing that it leads deeper into the kingdom that is coming every day. The pastor of the church gathering I attend always says we live in the “now and not yet”. God’s kingdom broke in and began to come when Jesus entered the world and died to save it. And it will crash completely to earth when he comes back and puts everything to right. In the mean time, we are in process. But what a glorious process it is! To be headed, every day, towards “Your kingdom … Continue reading →

Many of you know that my sister, Holly, ran the Boston Marathon this year. 4-15-13. Her experience at the race has marked her life. Returning to life as usual has been difficult for everyone who experienced this tragedy, and it is no different for Holly. Our stories are powerful and sometimes just giving words to our experiences can begin to heal our wounds and lift our burdens. In an effort to heal and find some kind of closure she asked me if she could tell her story here. ______________________________________________________________________________ Although the terrorist attack in Boston is not … Continue reading →

Have you been there? The waiting game is so hard for us humans who desperately want to be in control. We want to hurry things along and know where the finish line is.
