Bryce Canyon

The hoodoos of Bryce Canyon took my breath away.  I wish everyone could see what I got to see today.  There are no words to describe this place, so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.  Mostly.

We wanted to hike longer but we got chased out by a thunderstorm that terrified Ellie to her very core.  We thought she was being silly until she burst into tears.  Poor girl.  We had to leave anyway to get to the Grand Canyon campground for the night.  The rest of Utah looked like this:

Kind of like you picture every western movie to be like.  Probably because they all were filmed here.

We finally reached Arizona and it was approximately as hot as the sun.

The drive was longer than we thought so as we drove the road along the rim all we saw was darkness.  Not a glimpse of canyon.  Just trees and darkness and then our campground.

Canyon…I know you are out there.  I want to see you.  Soon.
