It’s here! It’s here!
We are all so excited!
Except Payton, who is sometimes too cool to be excited about things. Or maybe he just won’t smile for the camera when I ask him to.
After we checked it out and did some last minute cleaning I started packing our things into it. Which took approximately F-O-R-E-V-E-R. A bit longer than I planned for.
No matter what I’m packing for, it all starts with a list.
I love lists. Even when I end up crossing half the stuff off because there is no room. Lists are still my friends.
There isn’t really space for suitcases or anything, so I packed each kid some clothes in their very own colored crate and stowed them in the over cab bed {the kids’ favorite part of the whole RV, of course}.
I also had to pack some plastic dishes that wouldn’t be in danger of breaking. So I went ahead and bought cute ones. No one likes to eat off of ugly plates. I think it makes the food taste different.
If you are wondering where you can get such pretty dishes {that are bound to make your food taste extraordinary}, rest assured – they are at Target, of course. Isn’t all the cute stuff at Target?
And, of course, we don’t go anywhere without a healthy supply of books.
Or without Hans, Shiloh’s blue moose. He was afraid we’d forget him so he put him to bed in the RV {with his pillow pet and blue blankie – also essentials} and vowed that he could sleep without him for a night. We’ll see if that’s possible…
I’ve come to a conclusion. Packing takes forever. Food. Camping supplies. Tools. Bedding. On and on and on.
I. Am. Tired.
And we are almost completely ready to hit the road. My kids just might burst with barely contained excitement.
I am so excited for you!!! Can’t wait to hear about all your adventures!
