Friday Favorites

Today’s first few favorites are all wrapped up in my very favorite bloggy thing of the moment:

Pinterest

It’s a fantastic site.  You pin images from all over the web, blogs, stores, etc… to your inspiration boards.  They, of course, link back to the original page because we’re not about stolen images here.  But it’s a great way to collect images that inspire you and see them all in one place.  It’s proved very helpful for decorating and being able to recognize my style.  You can also browse other users images and re-pin them to your own boards.  Here are a few of my favorite pins from my inspiration boards.

Wow, that html code was driving me crazy.  If those pictures end up all wonky and shoved together it’s because WordPress keeps deleting my code.  I’m sure I’m just not doing it right.  But you get the picture (wink, wink).  Pinterest is G-R-E-A-T!

Check out these gorgeous yellow and gray pillows over at Dixie Delights.  She made a phenomenal banquette complete with these pillows and a throw made out of a king sized coverlet.  I may have to invite her up to the PNW to decorate my new banquette too.

This circus themed stool is so full of whimsy and fun.  I mean, who doesn’t need a mustache on their step stool.  I love finding random bits of fun on regular household items.  It makes me smile.  Hop on over to Mod Podge Rocks! to see the full stool story.

Over at Take Heart, Danielle has made some super cute and easy personalized DIY hoop art.  The pictures are clipped on with clothes pins and can be changed out whenever you want.  I love things that can change.

And finally, I’ve been looking for great activities to do with my little man while the older ones are in school.  He is just now entering into the play dough  stage.  This homemade kool-aid dough from Infarrantly Creative would be such a great project…and it smells good too!

Happy Friday everyone!
